Becky Carpenter is an international speaker, writer, teacher, and missionary. She is the Founder and President of One Day Closer Ministries and a full-time International Christian speaker with 140+ events since 2014. She is a blogger, bible study contributor, and guest on multiple podcasts. Becky is currently working on her first book, One Day Closer. Karen DeArmond Gardener's first book, Hope for Healing from Domestic Abuse, was published in 2021 by Kregel Publications. She is the Founder of Another One Free for domestic abuse survivors and is a certified trauma advocate. A frequent podcast guest and interviewee, Karen is also the co-founder of My Purpose Now, a website for women 50 and over.
Laura McPherson, MS, LPC, LMFT is in private practice in Kingwood, TX. For 20 years, she has served as a speaker to groups on topics related to her specialties. Laura serves as a guide to those who desire to make healthy changes in their life. Her first book, It’s Me, Not You – Key to Healthy Relationships, was released in 2021 by EABooks Publishing.
Lori Altebaumer is the author of a variety of books across several genre lines. She won the 2019 Foundation Award for her short story, Home, from the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writer’s Conference. In 2019, she was a finalist for two Selah Awards and Director’s Choice Award for her novel, A Firm Place to Stand. also from Blue Ridge. She placed third for the same book at the AWSA Golden Scrolls.
Michele McCarthy is a Texas Christian University graduate with an Education degree. She’s a member of AWSA, and author of several award winning books, including Shattered, Stirred and Shaken (non-fiction for adults), and three children’s books. Michele’s first book, Daddy and Me, was followed by Aunt Ida Clare, which took First Place in the 2021 Golden Scrolls and Second Place in the 2021 Christian Book Market awards. Her most recent book, Aunt Ima Mazing, was released in early 2022.
Sharon Tedford is a British-born international singer/songwriter, author, and host of the award-winning podcast, “God in the Ordinary.” She released her first book, Stand: The Stories and Scriptures Behind the Songs, with her album Stand in 2017. Sharon was a contributor to Arise to Peace from AWSA in 2021. Her forthcoming children’s book was a finalist in the 2021 Cascade Oregon Christian Writer’s contest. Sharon is also a popular speaker and watercolor artist.
Leslie J. Thompson is an accomplished freelance writer and former magazine publisher, with 25+ years' experience. She holds a master’s degree in Journalism from NYU and has contributed to numerous national and regional magazines. She also shares stories of God’s work in her life on her blog at outoftheherd.com, and her first book, a collection of faith-filled reflections, will be released in late 2022.
